The Mag-Tester 3000E is a powerful magnetic stripe quality control analyser for encoded magnetic media - HiCo, LoCo and 650 Oersted. It is used by magnetic stripe card/ticket manufacturers and bureaus for testing, QC, encoding equipment maintenance and development. It provides quick, accurate and reliable testing, and the multi-level user interface makes it the ideal choice for production QC as we l as laboratory analysis.

• High Precision Motorised Transports
These simulate field conditions by carrying the cards and tickets across the head. This helps to identify mechanical problems affecting the magnetic performance of the card or ticket, for example oversized cards.
• High Resolution Optical Sensor
This unique feature tracks continuously the position and speed of the card or ticket ensuring the accurate measurement of bit spacing, jitter and amplitude throughout the analysis.
• Automatically Positioned Lateral Slide
Using this feature, the complexity of testing multi-track cards or tickets is reduced. From the PC, the heads can be accurately and selectively positioned at non-standard track locations on each transport.
• Uncoated Read Heads
Ensures ISO recommendations are met and results are not affected by stray magnetic flux from single gap read heads. Uncoated read heads are used for each transport. Ceramic coated heads are available; these are recognised by ISO for extended life in a QC environment.
• Batch Testing & Data Analysis
Media can be batch tested; batch test data can be exported to external database programmes (MS Access, Excel) for further analysis (Gage R & R, Six Sigma), if required. Data analysis includes statistics, histograms and performance trends right through to the automatic generation of ISO 9000 test results certificates.
• Automatic Zoom to Error Software
Intelligent analysis software zooms to display of faulty media or encoding locations.
